In La Paz!

Hi all, yesterday, the gang and I arrived in La Paz, Bolivia. The sun was shining when the plane landed on the airport in El Alto at 4000 meters height. The height takes some getting used to, but none of us has had serious trouble with it. The hostel we are staying in is very nice. We have been hanging around at the Plaza Murillo, which is the main square of La Paz. There are a lot of pigeons there, many more than on the Dam in Amsterdam! The people who buy seeds to feed them are covered in them, which is a really funny thing to see. The sun was shining and we were in a happy mood, gazing at everything and being excited about everything we will be going to see. Yesterday afternoon, we had 'soep met ballen' in a cafeteria which we found out had a Dutch owner. We are there right now as well, because it has free WiFi. I have 15 minutes of battery left, so I am going to have to write fast. I found an international church in the city, but I am not sure whether I will already be going there tomorrow, as I have to find out how the bus system works here. I can't understand the people hanging out of the minibuses, screaming where they are going. Well, we'll see. It may also be not very nice for the rest of the gang, because three of them are leaving for Sucre and Cochabamba tomorrow evening. Shan Kai got a bad sunburn yesterday, so today he had to wear his jacket and walk around with an umbrella by means of parasol. Poor him, but it was really funny as well! We've had empanada de la Republica Argentina. At least that's what Daniel calls it. They are really really good!
